(File photo) | Photo Credit: JOTHI RAMALINGAM B Krishna water supply to Chennai is set to decline this week, as discharge from Andhra Pradesh’s Kandaleru reservoir has been halted for the maintenance of the Kandaleru-Poondi (KP) canal. The Water Resources Department (WRD) expects supply to resume by mid-May. The inflow has helped boost storage in Chennai’s major reservoirs and maintain daily water supply at the rate of nearly 1,248 million litres a day (mld).
