Telangana government has constituted a high-level Advertisement Regulatory Committee to approve all the outdoor advertisements in the Core Urban Region (CURE), as part of its newly-approved Outdoor Advertisement Policy for the region. The new policy will supersede all the previous advertisement policies of the state. The regulatory committee, which will function as the nodal authority for all advertisement-related activities, will be chaired by the Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department. Its members include the Metropolitan Commissioner of HMDA, Commissioners of GHMC, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation, Police Commissioner (Traffic), and representatives from Hyderabad Metro Rail, the Transport Department, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation and the Tourism Department.
