Registrations for the 17th edition of TCS TechBytes-an Engineering IT Quiz, which is open to engineering students (BE/B.Tech) of all streams and semesters across Karnataka, are open now. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Board for IT Education Standards (BITES), an autonomous body promoted by the State government, are jointly organising the TCS TechBytes event which challenges and encourages students to expand their knowledge of technology trends and their diverse applications across industries. According to a release from BITES, each institution can send 10 teams (two students per team) to participate in the regional finals of the quiz. There is no participation fee. Entries must be sent by the respective institutions before April 13 to manager@bites.org.in. Regional rounds of the quiz will be conducted across six locations, Kalaburagi (April 15), Hubballi (April 17), Mangaluru (April 22), Mysuru (April 24), Tumakuru (May 2) and Bengaluru (May 5). The finals will be held in Bengaluru on May 5. The winners in the regional and final rounds will get cash prizes, the release said.
