Sivananda Damodara Pai. | Photo Credit: Special arrangement Sivananda Damodara Pai, Scientist ‘G’, assumed charge as the Head of the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, on Thursday. Mr. Pai, who joined the Indian Meteorological Service in November 1992, has contributed extensively to research and operational weather and climate services and held several key positions in the India Meteorological Department (IMD). He previously served as Programme Director, Ministry of Earth Sciences, and headed for the Agromet Advisory Division of IMD, New Delhi.
