Randomisation of polling personnel to be deployed in Virudhunagar district being done in Virudhunagar on Monday. Assembly constituency-wise randomisation of 9,604 polling personnel to be deployed in 2,001 polling stations in Virudhunagar district was carried out on Monday. The process of appointing Presiding Officer and Polling Personnel 1, 2 and 3 was done in presence of the District Election Officer N.O. Sukhaputra and General Observers, Udhayan Mishra and Anupkumar Yadav. The DEO said that a total of 1,292 polling personnel would be deployed in 269 polling stations in Rajapalayam. Similarly, 1,480 polling personnel would be posted in 308 polling stations in Srivilliputtur. The polling personnel and polling stations in other constituencies are: Sattur 1,396 personnel in 291 booths, Sivakasi 1,392 personnel in 290 booths, Virudhunagar 1,348 personnel in 281 stations, Aruppukottai 1,296 personnel in 270 booths and Tiruchuli Assembly segment 1,400 personnel in 292 polling stations. District Revenue Officer, R. Ananthi and Personal Assistant (Elections) to Collector, Somasundra Srinivasan, Special Collector (Elections), Srinivasan, and representatives of the recognised political parties were present.
