BALACHANDAR BJP candidate for the Ramanathapuram Assembly constituency GBSK. Nagendran said in his election promise that a permanent solution would be found for the long-standing issues faced by fishermen. Mr. Nagendran, a member of the BJP State Executive Committee, has been officially announced as the party’s candidate for the Ramanathapuram constituency. Speaking to reporters in Ramanathapuram on Sunday, Mr. Nagendran said: “Under the DMK regime, people have lost their livelihoods. In Ramanathapuram district, the sale of narcotics has increased to the extent of becoming a cottage industry under the current government.” The fishermen’s issue had been persisting in Ramanathapuram district for a very long time. A permanent solution would be found for this problem, he noted. “Cold storage facilities will be provided to export the surplus fish caught by fishermen after meeting domestic consumption needs. Additionally, training will be provided for the production of fish oil,” he assured. External Affairs Minister and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are working hard to retrieve Katchatheevu. Soon, Katchatheevu will come within our borders, and everyone will be able to go to the St. Antony’s Church there to offer prayers, Mr. Nagendran asserted. “The BJP is not a party against minority communities. Minority people have realised that the BJP is the safest party for them. They have understood that they should vote for the BJP instead of trusting the DMK,” he said.
