Police personnel participate in the rally to highlight importance of wearing helmet at Sulur in Coimbatore district on Tuesday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT A two-wheeler rally was organised by the Transport Department on Tuesday for highlighting the importance of wearing helmets. About 200 participants took part in the rally that began at the Sulur Police Station and covered the Sulur Air Force Station before returning to the starting point. Awareness on various aspects of road safety was created during the rally, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Sulur, Vijayakumar said. Senior officials of the Police and Transport departments, and Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation took part.
