Image used for representational purpose only. | Photo Credit: Getty Images/iStockphoto In a major breakthrough, Rajasthan’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday (April 9, 2026) arrested retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Subodh Agarwal in connection with the alleged irregularities amounting to ₹960 crore in the tender process for the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). Mr. Agarwal was on the run since an arrest warrant was issued against him by a court. Mr. Agarwal was arrested in Delhi and was later brought to the ACB headquarters here by a team of the Bureau sleuths, official sources said here. He was being interrogated by the ACB officers and will be produced before a special court here within the stipulated period of 24 hours.
