HYDERABAD Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy claimed that contractors were executing works only in the constituencies belonging to the Ministers and Chief Minister, as they were getting bills only for the works done there, and questioned this discrimination against other MLAs. Speaking on the grants in the Assembly, he said Huzurnagar constituency, represented by Minister for Irrigation N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, was getting a large number of lift irrigation schemes. He sought to know how the government would exist by neglecting MLAs. He suggested the government not to discriminate against the MLAs. He stated that there was a talk outside that every programme/scheme was going to combined Khammam district as it is represented by three Ministers. A few members of the MIM, Congress and BJP who participated in the discussion on voting of demands for grants highlighted the neglect of government schools in the State despite the claims of improving the infrastructure.
