A day after the survivor in the first sexual assault case in which Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil was arrayed as an accused filed a police complaint against YouTuber Rahul Easwar, alleging violation of bail conditions and creation of circumstances for further cyber harassment, Mr. Easwar approached the Kerala High Court on Monday (January 5, 2026) seeking anticipatory bail, apprehending arrest in the case.

He had been arrayed as an accused in a separate case for allegedly insulting the survivor and was granted bail on strict conditions. In her complaint, she alleged that Mr. Easwar’s actions violated the bail conditions and facilitated fresh cyberattacks on her.

In his bail plea, Mr. Easwar contended that he had only presented factual aspects through a video on his YouTube channel and had not mentioned anything that would amount to a violation of the bail conditions
