Public representatives and philanthropists organised charitable activities across Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts on Wednesday for Bhogi and Sankranti festival. They distributed dress material and saris to the needy in memory of their forefathers.

P.V. S Rammohana Rao foundation president and industrialist P.V.S Rammohana Rao distributed saris and garments to nearly 2,000 people in Dhavalapeta village of G. Sigadam mandal in Srikakulam district in memory of his father Pedada Venkata Swamy.

Mr. Rammohana Rao shared that the foundation has been taking care of the underprivileged people for the last two decades during the festival days.

Member of Legislative Council Duvvada Srinivas handed over cash prizes to physically challenged persons and meritorious students.

Parvatipuram MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra distributed rice packets to the needy.

Vizianagaram ZP chairperson Majji Srinivasa Rao, Jana Sena Party leader Avanapu Vikram organised charitable activities in Vizianagaram as part of Bhogi celebrations in Vizianagaram on Wednesday.
