The Election Commission of India has appointed General Observers and a Police Observer for all eight Assembly constituencies in the district ahead of the Assembly elections scheduled on April 23, 2026. According to a release, the observers have been appointed to ensure the conduct of the elections in a free, fair and transparent manner. Members of the public and representatives of political parties may meet them at the designated places and timings to submit their grievances, if any. For Erode (East) and Erode (West) constituencies, Ministhy (89258 79517) can be met at the Corporation Commissioner’s Office (Second Floor) between 10.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.; for Modakkurichi and Perundurai constituencies, Bharti Dixit (89258 79516) can be met at the Taluk Office, Perundurai, between 10.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.; for Bhavani and Anthiyur constituencies, Shanavas (89258 79518) can be met at the Kalingarayan Government Guest House between 10.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m., and for Gobichettipalayam and Bhavanisagar constituencies, Uma Shankar Gupta (89258 79519) can be met at the Project House of the Water Resources Department, Gobichettipalayam, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Police Observer, Rakesh Chandra Kalasagar, can be contacted at 89528 17741.
