An injured factory worker in Haryana’s Manesar on Thursday. | Photo Credit: special arrangement Tensions escalated in Manesar’s Industrial Model Township here on Thursday as protesting workers clashed with the police, resulting in several injuries and damage to private and government vehicles. The workers, from around a dozen garments and automotive companies, have been on strike for the past few days demanding higher wages. The clash came a day after the Haryana government increased the minimum wages for unskilled workers to ₹15,220 and announced hike for other categories of the workers as well.
