The University of Leicester, U.K., and Centre for Chronic Disease Control, New Delhi, on Tuesday launched “Integrated, co-developed intervention for detection and management of cardiometabolic risk factors in older Indians (CARDIO-India)”.

This is a £5 million (approximately ₹62 crore), five-year research programme funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research. CARDIO-India will conduct a cluster randomised controlled trial across 10 States and 2,000 adults.
