Pithapuram Area Development Authority (PADA) vice-chairman N.V. Sivaram has ordered an inquiry into the allegations of verbal abuse levelled against the Pithapuram Municipal Commissioner N. Kanaka Rao by a sanitary secretary in Kakinada district. 

Citing an audio conversation that went viral on Tuesday, sanitary secretary Gummadi Sudheer, along with other employees of the 10th ward, staged a protest condemning the verbal abuse by the Municipal Commissioner.

According to employees, Mr. Kanaka Rao had reportedly abused the sanitary secretary over a telephone call for failing to carry out his duties on that day.

Speaking to The Hindu, Pithapuram Area Development Authority (PADA) vice-chairman N.V. Sivaram said; “I recieved a complaint from the sanitary secretary against Mr. Kanaka Rao. An inquiry has been ordered into the incident”.
