A remand prisoner, Ajit Kumar, who was admitted in Guntur Government General Hospital (GGH), reportedly escaped from the hospital ward on Saturday (March 28). The Tenali One Town police arrested Ajit Kumar in a case and he was sent to Repalle sub-jail for judicial custody. Police shifted the accused to Guntur GGH when he complained of health problem three days ago. Ajit Kumar escaped from police custody while undergoing treatment, the police said. Special teams have been constituted to nab the remand prisoner, a police officer said.
