According to officials of Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) arrived in the city on Tuesday morning and the safety inspection and trials began around 12 p.m. During the speed trials, the trains were tested at 40 km/h and 80 km/h between Poonamallee to Porur, and at 40 km/h from Porur to Vadapalani to check for potential glitches.
