Superintendent of Police L. Subbarayudu on Tuesday (March 31, 2026) formally inaugurated an outpost at the Tirupati railway station to regulate and streamline traffic. He also opened a ‘Chalivendram’ (water kiosk) on the station premises to distribute water and buttermilk to the passengers. The Superintendent of Police distributed buttermilk to passengers and auto rickshaw drivers waiting outside for customers. Speaking on the occasion, he said the outpost was necessitated by the surge in passengers traveling to the pilgrim city of Tirupati during the summer. He cautioned that any form of violation in traffic-sensitive zones could lead to chaos, and advised motorists and pedestrians to act responsibly. Additional Superintendent K. Ravi Manoharachary (Law and Order), Deputy Superintendents Ramakrishnachari (Traffic) and M. Bhaktavatsalam (Tirupati East) took part.
