With the ongoing probe into the sensational murder of CPI (M) veteran leader Samineni Rama Rao in Khammam district on October 31, 2025, not making much headway, the police probing the case reportedly sought local court’s nod to conduct a polygraph test on some suspects. Sources said that the police reportedly approached the local court seeking its nod for conducting the polygraph tests to clinch a breakthrough in the case. The tests are likely to be conducted in a day or two based on the voluntary consent of the suspects, sources added. The brutal killing of the senior CPI (M) leader sparked outrage with the party district leaders blaming some Congress leaders for the gory murder.
