Retired Deputy Superintendent Shanthamallappa was the chief guest at the celebrations organized jointly by the Mysuru City Police, Mysuru district police, Karnataka Police Academy, Mounted Police, KSRP and others. The Flag Dal was also attended by senior police officials including Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Southern Range, M B Boralingaiah, Mysuru City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar and Superintendent of Mysuru district police Mallikarjun Baladandi. The Police Flag Day is observed to honour and remember the services of retired police officers and personnel.
