Police Commissioner inspects check-posts; checks buses, cars, lorries

Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli City, Deshmukh Shekhar Sanjay visited the check-posts on the periphery of Tirunelveli and Palayamkottai on Thursday to monitor the vehicle checking to curb the movement of unaccounted cash, liquor, gifts etc. which could be used to entice the voters.

During informal chat with the reporters, Mr. Deshmukh Shekhar said unaccounted cash above ₹50,000 and the valuable articles and gifts being transported without proper documents would be seized. Hence, those who carry high value cash and gold and silver ornaments and gift articles in large number should produce proper documents.
