RAO Police resorted to a mild lathi-charge on the cricket fans when they tried to organise a victory rally after India won the ICC T20 World Cup Cricket final match against New Zealand on Sunday. Many students and the youth came on to MG Road after the Indian team won the match. When they came in a rally up to Benz Circle, police resorted to caning them, claiming they were causing a traffic jam.
