The Prime Minister will inaugurate redeveloped railway stations at Shoranur Junction, Kuttippuram and Changanassery under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Developed at a total cost of about ₹52 crore, these stations have been modernised with improved passenger amenities, enhanced circulating areas and better accessibility. The electrification of this important rail section enables faster and more efficient train operations by eliminating the need for locomotive change at Shoranur. On the occasion, the Prime Minister will also flag off the Palakkad-Pollachi train service, strengthening rail connectivity between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The new train service will improve mobility for daily commuters, pilgrims, traders and tourists travelling between the two States. Ceremonial events will be held at Kuttipuram, Shoranur Junction, Changanassery and Palakkad in which local dignitaries, elected representative, railway officials, passengers and general public will participate. The Palakkad-Pollachi MEMU service will be accorded a reception at all the intermediate stations and at the destination.
