Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Rameswaram-Mangaluru Central-Rameswaram and Tirunelveli-Mangaluru Junction-Tirunelveli Weekly Express services from Tiruchirappalli on Wednesday. A release from Southern Railway here said Mr. Modi will visit Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu on Wednesday and inaugurate/dedicate and lay the foundation stone for various Energy, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Road transport and Highways, Railways and Rural development projects.
