Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Kerala in the first week of March in connection with the inauguration of a few railway projects and national highway development works. According to sources, the Prime Minister will flag off an Amrit Bharat train between Ernakulam and India’s northeast region. Several rail infrastructure projects are set to be inaugurated, including the foundation laying of Nedumbassery railway station, the redevelopment of Thrissur station, and the opening of some Amrit Bharat stations. Mr. Modi is likely to attend only one function in Ernakulam due to time constraints. It is not known whether he would visit the national highway project site in north Kerala where the work on a few stretches have been completed.
