The Plus Two public examination began in Tirunelveli district on Monday. The district has 73 examination centres for 19,835 candidates, and a special centre at Palayamkottai Central Jail for inmates appearing for the examination. Seventy-four Chief Superintendents, 74 Department Officers, 10 Additional Chief Superintendents, 10 Additional Department Officers and 19 route officials have been appointed to ensure hassle-free conduct of the public examination. More than 1,440 invigilators and flying and static squads with 150 teachers have been deployed.
