Areas falling under five zones in the city will not receive piped water supply between 11 p.m. on March 7 and 11 p.m. on March 8 as work will be carried out to repair a leak in water distribution pipeline on Arcot Road, Porur. A press release from the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) said areas, including Mylapore, Nandanam, K.K. Nagar, MGR Nagar, Nesapakkam, Saidapet, Ashok Nagar, West Mambalam, Ramapuram, Valasaravakkam, Alandur, Manapakkam, Kotturpuram, Besant Nagar, Taramani, Thiruvanmiyur, and Velachery, would not get water supply for 24 hours.
