Hyderabad

The Revenue Department has decided to implement the Integrated Bhu Bharati (Digital Land Records Management System) on a pilot basis in five mandals from April 2.

The new system envisaging Revenue, Survey and Stamps & Registration departments under one roof will be implemented in Kosgi (Narayanpet), Amangal (Rangareddy), Vatpalli (Sangareddy), Kusumanchi (Khammam) and Aswaraopet (Bhadradri Kothagudem) mandals.

The government has decided to test the functioning of the integrated portal to identify its merits and demerits for making necessary changes, if any. This will be followed by implementation of the integrated portal across the State, in the second phase.

As part of the pilot project, incorporation of survey map pertaining to agricultural land at the time of registration will be made mandatory. The move is aimed at putting an end to land disputes on a permanent basis, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said.

The department took steps to ensure that the portal would contain information pertaining to all land transactions in a transparent manner. In addition, all the land in the five mandals would be given Bhudhaar (unique land identification) numbers on the lines of Aadhaar numbers.

The government has recently concluded survey of five villages which were not covered any time in the past and gave Bhudhaar numbers to the land.

Asserting that the government’s decisions were in the larger interests of people, he said that the operation of Bhu Bharati portal was simple allowing access through Aadhaar linked mobile number and farmers could get the information of their land with a click of mouse. The portal was equipped with features like survey and correction services, appeals and registration services in addition to citizen dashboard. Myland portfolio, nala orders, details of registered documents, RoR, mutation, and encumbrance certificates would also be available.

Users could track the progress of the deal right from application stage and SMS alerts would be sent to applicants from time to time. As against the 36 different modules in Dharani, steps were taken to bring all transactions into one chapter.
