Jana Sena Party (JSP) president and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said on the occasion of International Women’s Day that it was a moment to celebrate the strength, dignity and achievements of women who shape families, society and the nation.

In a social media post, he said that Bharat revered women since the times of the Puranas as the embodiment of Shakti. “Today, that legacy continues with President Droupadi Murmu serving as the first citizen of the country,” he said.

“The true progress of a nation is measured by the dignity, safety and empowerment of its women. Let us celebrate their strength, support their aspirations, and work together to build a society where every woman can rise and lead,” he added.

IT & HRD Minister Nara Lokesh conveyed his salutations to women on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.

He stated in a press release that humanity owed its existence to women and they deserved to be respected and supported in all possible ways as they don multiple roles in society without caring much for themselves. Such was their dedication and commitment in doing things which often go unrewarded.

Respecting women was a moral value, which every one should demonstrate in practice, he said, recalling the way his mother taught him how to treat women as motherly figures.
