Pasupati Acrylon has temporarily shut down its plant for acrylic fiber in Uttar Pradesh due to logistics disruption triggered by the war in West Asia impacting raw material supplies. “Shipment of raw material is getting delayed by 15-20 days because of ongoing war in the Middle East region. Since the raw materials could not reach at plant due to logistics disruption, the company’s plant for acrylic fiber has been temporarily shut down from March 24 till the first half of April,” the company said in a filing on Tuesday (March 24, 2026). It said the reopening of the plan will depend on the arrival of vessel of raw materials. According to Pasupati Acrylon’s website, the company has a 45,000 MT acrylic fiber/tow/tops, both in grey as well as dyed (Gel dyed) plant in Thakurdwara, Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The facility has been set up in technical collaboration with SNIA BPD of Italy, the company said.
