Boya Ranganna | Photo Credit: By Arrangement A panchayat secretary from Jogulamba Gadwal district was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials while accepting a bribe of ₹15,000 for processing housing scheme payments. According to the ACB, the accused officer, Boya Ranganna, who serves as the panchayat secretary of Eklaspur village in Ieeja mandal, was apprehended on Friday, March 13, 2026. at the office of the Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) in Ieeja mandal. The accused had demanded the bribe from a complainant in exchange for releasing the first instalment of the Indiramma housing scheme bill related to the construction of a house in the name of the complainant’s wife. The money was also allegedly sought to ensure sanction of the remaining three instalments without interruption.
