As many as 715 of the 3,182 candidates who took part in a private job fair organised in Kallakurichi on Saturday secured jobs. The fair, organised by the Kallakurichi district administration, District Employment and Guidance Cell and the Tamil Nadu State Rural and Urban Livelihood Mission, saw over 100 companies recruiting candidates. Candidates who had studied till Class 8, 10, or 12, diploma, ITI courses, hotel management, undergraduate, and engineering courses took part. Of the total participants, 23 were people with disabilities and nine of them got jobs. A total of 1,934 men and 1,248 women took part in the job fair and 715 secured employment. Kallakurichi Collector M.S. Prasanth handed over appointment letters to candidates who got jobs.
