Work on the 24×7 drinking water supply scheme across six wards of Tiruchi is progressing steadily, with around 6,700 household connections already provided and pipeline installation under way in several areas.

The project, being implemented at a cost of ₹38.49 crore under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 scheme, aims at ensuring a continuous water supply in select areas on a pilot basis. The project is funded through contributions of ₹11.54 crore from the Centre, ₹10.39 crore from the State government, and ₹16.56 crore from the Tamil Nadu Urban Development Fund (TNUDF).
