A total of 611 complaints were received at the district control centre and 28 through cVigil app since the Model Code of Conduct came into force in Cuddalore district. All the complaints received till date had been acted upon and resolved.

According to officials, complaints received at the district-level control room functioning from the Collectorate are immediately forwarded to flying squads and static surveillance teams in the respective Assembly constituencies.

Vehicles deployed for flying squads and static surveillance teams have been fitted with GPS devices, enabling real-time monitoring from the Collectorate. Officials said the movement of teams was tracked to ensure prompt response.

A majority of the complaints received through the cVIGIL app pertained to removal of political party posters and banners, officials said.
