More than six tonnes of banned tobacco products seized in various cases across Nagapattinam district were destroyed on Friday following a court order. According to the police, 6,186.16 kg of banned tobacco products, including gutka, seized in 26 cases registered between 2018 and 2026 at different police stations in the district were disposed of under the supervision of Superintendent of Police K.S. Balla krisshnan.
