More than 30 two-wheelers, which were seized by the police and parked at the Kitchipalayam police station, were destroyed in a fire in Salem on Wednesday (February 25, 2026). The Kitchipalayam police seized more than 50 two-wheelers in connection with various crime cases and had parked the vehicles behind the police station. Meanwhile, on Wednesday around 5 p.m., black smoke emerged from the parking area and soon, the fire spread to the vehicles. Police personnel on duty ran out of the station and alerted the Fire and Rescue Service.
