Over 20 tonnes of waste cleared as Cyberabad Municipal Corporation takes up lake cleanup drive

As part of the Praja Palana 99 Days Action Plan, the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation carried out a large-scale lake cleanup drive on Sunday (March 22) covering 57 lakes across the city. The initiative saw the removal of approximately 20.5 metric tonnes of waste from various water bodies.

The drive witnessed significant public participation, with 1,271 citizens joining hands with municipal teams and volunteers. Officials said the turnout reflected growing awareness among residents about the importance of preserving urban water bodies.
