Over 150 people have approached various hospitals for medical treatment following a suspected food poisoning incident linked to a feast at the Karaputhiyedath Madappura Sree Muthappan temple at Mattannur in Kannur district of Kerala on Monday afternoon (April 6, 2026) between 12.40 p.m. and 4 p.m. Symptoms, including fever, vomiting, diarrhoea and headache, prompted people from Karayi, Thelappu and Peravoor to seek treatment at various hospitals.
