The shops would be auctioned on ‘as-is, where-is’ basis and the revenue generated from the auction of the shops would be used for the colonies where they are located. Over 1,400 shops in 36 double bedroom (2BHK) housing colonies in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Sangareddy would be auctioned from April 9 to 21. An option was provided to people to select the shops — each spread over 60 to 400 square feet. The revenue generated would be used for welfare and maintenance of the buildings. The shops would be auctioned on ‘as-is, where-is’ basis, Telangana Housing Corporation’s Managing Director V.P. Gautham said. Those interested can register by submitting Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) at the office of RDO concerned before 11.00 a.m. on the scheduled date of auction.
