The annual National Science Day celebrations at the Raman Research Institute (RRI) would be held on February 28 to mark Sir C.V. Raman’s Nobel Prize-winning discovery of the Raman Effect. For generating scientific interest among school children, the Open Day will be organised by the RRI, with students and staff across the institute putting together engaging programmes featuring experiments, scientific demonstrations, and a range of exciting activities. The RRI said that the scientific display stalls would offer a glimpse into the institute’s ongoing research across various groups and facilities, while also presenting key scientific concepts in interactive and accessible ways. Students from government and private schools in Bengaluru and its surrounding areas are welcome to participate in the celebration. Admission to the general public is available. The institute added that multiple schools from in and around Bengaluru with a combined total of over 1,000 students have already confirmed their attendance this year, and visitors will be able to see scientific experiments across multiple stalls. The visitors can also interact with the RRI research scholars and engineers and take part in hands-on experiments. Competitions were also being conducted as part of the celebrations, a fun way to explore science through quizzes, photography, and creative costumes. The event will be conducted in two sessions from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Published – February 27, 2026 07:40 pm IST Share this: Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Click to share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email More Click to print (Opens in new window) Print Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window) Pocket Click to share on Mastodon (Opens in new window) Mastodon Click to share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window) Nextdoor Click to share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky Like this:Like Loading...
