Deputy Chief Minister and Chairman of the Musi Cabinet Sub-committee Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the Musi River rejuvenation works will be carried out in a democratic manner taking into account public opinion.

Mr. Vikramarka held a review meeting on Tuesday with officials at the Secretariat, along with Minister and Musi Cabinet Sub-committee member Ponnam Prabhakar, to assess the progress of the project.

He announced that public opinions on Musi rejuvenation will be invited online from March 31 to April 15, through the email ID ‘musirdc@gmail.com’. All valuable suggestions received online will be thoroughly analysed in consultation with officials, and the sub-committee members will directly engage in phased consultations with those who provided inputs.

The Deputy Chief Minister informed that the foundation stone for the Omkareshwara Temple works on the banks of the Musi River was laid on March 28. He instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for the works to be undertaken from that day, covering Musi Phase-1 and Phase-2.

He advised officials to divide responsibilities and proceed efficiently, including coordination regarding Defence lands, consultations with displaced families, finalisation of construction designs, and discussions with bankers.

He urged officials to understand the commitment of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the entire Cabinet, stating that this project would stand as a milestone in their careers. He also assured that the Musi Sub-committee members will be available round-the-clock to support officials with any suggestions or requirements.
