Southern Railway will operate special trains between Mysuru and Thoothukudi to clear extra rush of passengers during Pongal festival. A statement said Train No. 06283 Mysuru – Thoothukudi Express would leave Mysuru at 6.35 p.m. on January 9 (Friday) and 13 (Tuesday) and reach Thoothukudi at 11 a.m. the next days. In the return direction, Train No. 06284 Thoothukudi – Mysuru Express would leave Thoothukudi at 2 p.m. on January 10 (Saturday) and 14 (Wednesday) and reach Mysuru at 7.45 a.m. the next days.
