A special police team has arrested a man for stocking 343 kg of banned tobacco products. Following information, Superintendent of Police G.S. Madhavan deputed a special team to Ilanji where the police seized 343 kg banned tobacco products from the house of M. Ravi alias Ravi Raja Pandian, 45. The police seized the ₹2.53 lakh-worth tobacco products and arrested Ravi Raja Pandian, who was remanded in judicial custody. Further investigations are on about the suppliers of the banned tobacco products to Ravi Raja Pandian.
