Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another won top honors at the 37th annual Producers Guild Awards, being on course to win in two weeks at the Academy Awards.

The Leonardo DiCaprio starrer“ is set to sweep the major prizes of awards season. So far, the revolutionary drama has won at the Directors Guild, the Golden Globes and the BAFTAs.

Since 2009, the PGA and Oscars have used a preferential ballot to select a winner from 10 nominees. The winners at PGA has matched the Best Picture at the Academy Awards for five years running.

“Long may you wave, whatever the future holds,” said Anderson. “It is one battle after another,” said Anderson after accepting the award, speaking about the recent sale of Warner Bros. Discovery to Paramount Skydance while thanking Warner Bros. film chiefs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy.

The PGA Awards were held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood. The best animated film went to KPop Demon Hunters.My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay won the best documentary honour. The Pitt and The Studio bagged the best drama series and best comedy series awards respectively.
