Polling officials on Thursday (April 9, 2026) seized camera-equipped glasses from a United Democratic Front (UDF) chief election agent in Uduma constituency in Kasaragod. B.M. Jamal, the chief election agent of UDF candidate K. Neelakandan, allegedly arrived at booth number 165 at Bekal Islamia ALP School wearing the device, triggering protests by Left Democratic Front workers. Mr. Jamal later clarified that he regularly used the glasses equipped with a camera. Following a complaint, the presiding officer and the police intervened and seized the glasses.
