NTPC Simhadri has partnered with the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (HBCH&RC) in Visakhapatnam to establish a robotic surgery facility and a three-MW solar power plant at a total cost of ₹41.5 crore. A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on Saturday (March 7, 2026) between the two organisations, marking a significant milestone in regional healthcare infrastructure under NTPC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The project is slated for completion by March 31, 2028. The robotic-assisted surgical equipment worth ₹26.5 crore will allow for high-precision, minimally invasive procedures. This technology is expected to reduce patient recovery times and improve surgical outcomes, particularly for underprivileged patients at subsidised rates.
