NTK and KMDK candidates file nominations in Salem and Namakkal

Candidates of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) and the Kongunadu Makkal Desia Katchi (KMDK) filed nominations in Salem and Namakkal districts on Monday (March 30, 2026).

In Salem district, Salem West NTK candidate Sureshkumar filed his nomination at the Sooramangalam Taluk office. Veerapandi NTK candidate Rajeshkumar filed his nomination at Veerapandi Panchayat Union office. Sankari NTK candidate Nithya Arun, who came with a plow, filed her nominations at the Sankari RDO office. Edappadi NTK candidate Priyadharshini filed her nominations at the Edappadi Tahsildar office after coming to the office in a rally from Kettukadai.

Gangavalli (SC) constituency NTK candidate Abiramai Seranathan filed her nominations at Gangavalli Tahsildar office. Salem North NTK candidate Gunaseela, who came to the Hasthampatti Tahsildar office with a plow, filed her nominations. Salem South NTK candidate Sofiya filed her nominations at the Kondalampatti zonal office.

At the Mettur RDO office, independent candidate Padmarajan (56), who came to file his nomination at 9 a.m., was sent back by police. Later, at 11 a.m., he came to the RDO office and filed his nomination. 

At the Tiruchengode RDO office, KMDK general secretary Eswaran, who is contesting in the DMK’s rising sun symbol, filed his nomination.
