A mega medical and health camp was organised here on Tuesday (March 31, 2026) by the NSS, Department of MBA, JNTUA, in coordination with MYBharat, Pragathi Padham Youth Association, Indian Red Cross Society-Anantapur, and Nigama Foundation. The initiative aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and raising awareness about various health conditions.

The camp offered a comprehensive range of free health services to both students and the public. These included blood grouping, haemoglobin testing, thyroid awareness, dental check-ups, diabetic screening, blood pressure monitoring, eye vision examinations, and mental health consultations.

Nearly 400 individuals attended the camp, out of them, around 300 people were also given free medications, ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare support to the community. The camp served as an important platform for early diagnosis and timely medical guidance.

Addressing the gathering, NSS Coordinator Dr. G. Mamatha stated that NSS and MYBharat will continue to work for the welfare of society and remain committed to serving the needy. She highlighted that such initiatives contribute towards ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.

JNTUA Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. Sudarshan Rao, Registrar Prof. Krishnayya, MYBharat Representative Bisathi Bharath, and others were also present.
