National Statistics Office (Field Operations Division) Additional Director General Sunitha Bhaskar inaugurating NSO Sub-Regional Office in Kakinada city on Saturday. | Photo Credit: BY ARRANGEMENT National Statistics Office (Field Operations Division) Additional Director General Sunitha Bhaskar on Saturday (March 14, 2026) inaugurated the Sub-Regional Office of the National Statistics Office (Field Operations Division) in Kakinada city. Ms. Sunitha Bhaskar claimed that the Kakinada Sub-Regional Office building is the first owned building of the Field Operations Division in South India. Construction of the office began in 2009. Anupam Lahiri, DDG, C&QCD, Bangalore, E.V. Gangadhara Rao, ADG (Retd.), P.V.R. Prasad, ADG (Retd.), R. Kiran Kumar, ADG (Retd.), P. Trinadha, District Economics and Statistics officer, Kakinada and Ram Singh, superintendent (Salt Dept), Kakinada were also present. Cultural performances, including Kuchipudi by local dancers, enthralled the guests.
