No proposal for districts reorganisation before the government: CM Revanth Reddy

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy clarified that the government was neither considering abolishing any existing district nor creating new districts at this stage, and asked the people not to fall for the scare being generated by the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS).

Mr. Reddy strongly objected to what he described as “false propaganda” being spread by the BRS over the reorganisation of districts in Telangana. He categorically denied claims that the Bhupalpally district was being abolished, asserting that there was no such proposal before the government. The BRS was deliberately misleading the public by circulating rumours.

The Chief Minister said any future discussion on district reorganisation would be taken up only after seeking the opinions of all stakeholders and the Opposition parties, and holding a detailed debate in the State Assembly. He cautioned people against falling prey to what he termed the Opposition party’s “conspiracy politics” aimed at gaining political mileage through misinformation.

Mr. Reddy also rebutted allegations made by the BRS on Singareni Collieries issues and clarified that the medical unfit board would be removed. He assured that recruitment on compassionate grounds in Singareni would continue without interruption. Further, the government would take steps to resolve the long-pending issue of 217 dismissed Singareni workers, the Chief Minister said, reiterating his government’s commitment to protecting workers’ interests.
